Senior HSE Manager

Our client is looking for a seasoned and dedicated Senior HSE Manager to lead their Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives. This role operates in a fully remote capacity, overseeing safety protocols and environmental stewardship across the company's operations, including those in the Stellenbosch region. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and enforcing robust HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture.

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels.
• Promote a positive safety culture and foster employee engagement in HSE initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or related heavy industry sectors.
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management principles, and incident investigation techniques.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE strategies in a remote operational context.
