Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Copywriter with a specialized background in the Energy and Utilities sector. Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development: Write clear, persuasive, and accurate copy for a variety of channels, including email campaigns, customer notices, web pages, and educational brochures.
  • Technical Translation: Simplify "utility-speak" (e.g., kW vs. kWh, time-of-use rates, decarbonization) into accessible language that resonates with everyday residential and business customers.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all copy met strict legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining a tone of empathy and transparency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), legal teams, and product managers in San Ramon to ensure technical accuracy across all touchpoints.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain the PG&E voice—authoritative yet helpful—across diverse topics like renewable energy integration and public safety power shutoffs (PSPS).
