Grants Travel Lead Coordinator

The Grants Travel Lead Coordinator position will provide high level fiscal and compliance support to the Grants Compliance Teams. Serves as content expert for faculty, investigators, and college administrators on assigned transactions/spend categories related to Sponsor Program funding. Manages a complex workload demonstrating independent decision-making and required advanced understanding of institutional and sponsor regulations. Ability to interpret and effectively communicate highly complex sponsor guidelines, as well as mentor less experienced staff in guidelines review.

A successful Grants Travel Lead Coordinator should have the ability to perform the following essential skills and competencies:
Capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving; strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Analyze complex situations and decide appropriate steps for resolution and follow-thru;
Train, guide, and mentor less experienced staff in problem solving complex issues. Possess excellent verbal, written and customer service communication skills, time management, follow-through, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Have working knowledge of federal or private agency sponsors, contract/grant regulations, Ohio State university policy and procedures. Promotes a culture that supports work/life balance, peer collaboration, autonomy, and supportive leadership.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of demonstrated proficiency with electronic research tools and financial management systems.
• Considerable experience in research administration.
• Demonstrated considerable experience reviewing financial transactions.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CRA, CFRA, CPSM certifications.
• Demonstrated considerable experience reviewing financial transactions associated with sponsor project funding.
• Workday Financials system experience.

The pay range for this position starts at $23.17 per hour. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity, the candidate's qualifications, and the unit's available budget being the primary determining factor.

This position is eligible for remote work from the state of Ohio. Ohio State will not sponsor applicants for a work visa for this position.
