Description

Morgan 6 “M6” is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and SBA-certified HUBZone company headquartered in Charleston, SC. We deliver expert talent with high-demand, low-density skill sets to support critical U.S. Government missions in areas such as special operations, intelligence, cybersecurity, agile development, and IT support.

Most importantly, we are — and we support — Warriors First.

M6 Core Values – HEROIC
  • Honor – Act with integrity and truthfulness
  • Excellence – Strive for quality in all we do
  • Resourcefulness – Innovate and embrace change
  • One Team – Stand together and treat each other with respect
  • Iron Sharpens Iron – Encourage personal and professional growth
  • Castle Defense – Protect the resources entrusted to us

Morgan 6 seeks a mission focused MARSOC Business Development Lead to identify, develop, and capture opportunities supporting MARSOC training, exercises, operations, and related professional services.

The candidate must be a former U.S. Marine with prior MARSOC service, deep mission knowledge, and established professional relationships within the MARSOC community.

  • This is a hands‑on business development and capture position, not solely an advisory or customer‑introduction role. The successful candidate will translate operational requirements into qualified opportunities, competitive solutions, and compelling proposals. Candidates must reside within practical driving distance of MARSOC headquarters and be available for recurring in‑person engagements.
  • Customer engagement:
Develop and execute a MARSOC account plan. Maintain trusted relationships with operational leaders, training personnel, requirements owners, program managers, resource managers, contracting personnel, and industry partners. Identify mission needs, funding considerations, and acquisition timelines.
  • Opportunity development:
Identify new requirements, recompetes, task orders, and subcontracting opportunities. Research incumbents, competitors, acquisition forecasts, and contract vehicles. Qualify pursuits against customer need, funding, capability fit, competitive position, and profitability.
  • Capture management:
Lead assigned capture plans, customer engagement strategies, competitive assessments, win themes, teaming approaches, milestones, and risk‑reduction actions. Support bid/no‑bid recommendations and capture planning.
  • Solution and proposal development:
Collaborate with operational experts to develop training, exercise, instructional, planning, analytical, logistics, and mission‑support solutions. Prepare capability statements, white papers, sources‑sought responses, RFIs, and proposal content.
  • Teaming:
Identify and assess partners based on relevant experience, customer access, contract vehicles, past performance, and staffing capabilities. Support teaming arrangements and workshare discussions.
  • Pipeline and execution:
Maintain opportunity records, forecasts, customer engagement notes, and next actions. Brief leadership on pursuit status and support proposal reviews and post‑award handoffs.

Requirements

  • Former U.S. Marine with documented MARSOC service and substantial firsthand knowledge of MARSOC training, exercises, operations, readiness requirements, and contracted support.
  • Current Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Established vehicles:
Understand IDIQs, task orders, GSA schedules, standalone contracts, prime/subcontractor strategies
  • Direct experience qualifying federal opportunities, developing capture strategies, and preparing proposals.
  • Working knowledge of government acquisition and contracting.
  • Strong writing, briefing, organization, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate…
