Business Intelligence Analyst

Mid Ulster | Permanent | Hybrid working after probation

MCS Group is partnering with an established business in Mid Ulster to recruit a Reporting Analyst / BI Developer. This is a newly created position where you will take ownership of reporting for a defined operational project, helping the business understand product traceability and improve visibility across its manufacturing processes. You will work directly with a key business stakeholder, with support from an experienced BI team to help you understand the systems, data and production processes.

• Develop reports, dashboards and data extracts that support operational decisions.
• Write, maintain and optimise SQL Server queries, views and stored procedures.
• Turn stakeholder requirements into clear, accurate reporting solutions.
• Use Power BI and Excel to present data in a format the business can use.
• Investigate reporting issues and maintain data accuracy and consistency.
• Help stakeholders understand production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Take ownership of requests, communicate progress and manage expectations.

• Commercial experience in a Reporting Analyst, BI Developer or similar role.
• Strong SQL Server / T‑SQL skills and experience working with stored procedures.
• Experience developing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Strong Excel skills, ideally including Power Query, lookups and pivot tables.
• Confidence working directly with stakeholders and explaining technical information clearly.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise requests and challenge requirements constructively.
• Experience with SSRS, Crystal Reports or manufacturing data would be useful.
