Operations Excellence Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Operations Excellence Manager to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement across their operations in Centurion, Gauteng . This management role is pivotal in implementing and overseeing best practices, process optimization initiatives, and quality management systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, developing solutions, and leading implementation efforts to achieve measurable results in operational performance. This is a key role for a proactive manager dedicated to achieving peak operational efficiency within the Centurion area. This role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring both remote work and regular on-site presence at the Centurion office.

• Develop and implement operational excellence strategies and programs to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify root causes of operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance and improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on operational excellence principles and tools.
• Collaborate with department heads and operational teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage the implementation of new processes and technologies to support operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct process audits and performance reviews to identify areas for further development.
• Report on the progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Black Belt) is highly preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to achieve tangible business results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in process improvement tools and techniques.
• Experience in project management and change management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with the operational landscape in Centurion, Gauteng is beneficial.
