Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for collecting, validating, and organizing ESG and sustainability performance data across the company, and translating that data into dashboards, reports, and insights that support Chord's Sustainability program. This role is a hands‑on data role: the analyst works directly in Chord's data environment (Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, Sigma) to build and maintain the data pipelines, visualizations, and reporting products that underpin the annual Sustainability Report, executive updates, AXPC peer benchmarking, and responses to investor ESG inquiries.

The analyst partners closely with internal data stewards across Environmental, Operations, HSE, Human Resources, and Finance to close data gaps and improve data quality. The role reports to the Sr. Director of Sustainability and is based in Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions
  • Collect, validate, and organize sustainability and ESG performance data from source systems and data stewards across the company, ensuring data quality, completeness, and traceability.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Power BI and/or Sigma to track sustainability KPIs, program goals, and executive-level metrics.
  • Support preparation of the annual Sustainability Report, including data gathering, validation, table population, and AXPC ESG Metrics Framework template completion.
  • Support gas capture, flare tracking, and emissions data workflows in coordination with Operations and Marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with internal data stewards to identify and close gaps in sustainability data management and drive continuous improvement in data quality and pipeline reliability.
  • Conduct research and peer benchmarking against AXPC members and other relevant industry groups to support internal analysis and reporting.
  • Support sustainability data integration work streams for future M&A activity as they arise.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate data preparation, analysis, drafting, and documentation.
  • Support responses to ESG rating agencies and investor ESG questionnaires (e.g., Sustainalytics, MSCI, ISS) as directed.
  • Provide light data support to enterprise risk management activities as needed.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and cross‑functional initiatives to build sustainability and industry knowledge.

This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Selected candidates will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and duties outside of their normal responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
