Senior Telecom Business Analyst

Our client, a major telecommunications player, is seeking a dedicated Senior Telecom Business Analyst to join their fully remote team. This position is critical for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the telecom domain. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for system enhancements and new product development.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in defining project scope, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and ensuring that technology initiatives deliver maximum business value. This remote role offers the advantage of working from anywhere in South Africa, providing a flexible and independent work environment while contributing to the strategic direction of a leading communications company.

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements from various stakeholders within the telecommunications sector.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and meetings, ensuring clear communication and consensus among stakeholders.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, QA testers, and other technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop process flows, data models, and system diagrams to support requirements documentation.
• Assist in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Support the deployment and implementation of new systems and features, providing necessary documentation and training.
• Contribute to the development of business cases and project proposals.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business analysis and telecommunications.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on the telecommunications industry.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process modeling, and creating functional specifications.
• Deep understanding of telecommunications products, services, and business processes (e.g., billing, CRM, network operations, customer care).
• Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN, JIRA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• Experience with agile and waterfall development methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP or CCBA are desirable.
