Remote E-commerce Business Development Manager

Our client is actively seeking a strategic and results-oriented Remote E-commerce Business Development Manager to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities for their online ventures. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute to our client's expansion from anywhere in South Africa. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the e-commerce sector, including strategic partnerships, affiliate programs, and market expansion initiatives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential threats, and untapped revenue streams.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with new and existing business partners.
• Analyze performance metrics of new initiatives and partnerships, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with overall company strategy.
• Present business proposals and strategies to senior management and potential partners.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and innovations in the e-commerce industry.
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the e-commerce business.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales, with a significant focus on e-commerce.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, including online marketplaces, digital marketing, and payment gateways.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
