About A-Scenda and u×mA-Scenda Partners provides embedded executive and operating services, combining independent specialists and artificial intelligence (AI) to help technology businesses operate and grow. Our work spans photonics, communications, neuroscience, AI and more.
u×m is A-Scenda’s product initiative for owner-controlled intelligence; u×n is its business product. You will work directly with founder Zarn Kucel across A-Scenda, u×m and client engagements.

Your roleKeep recurring operations reliable while completing one-off improvement projects. Zarn provides context, priorities and initial direction. You investigate, propose solutions, implement approved changes and check the results, developing practical AI and automation skills along the way.
What’s in it for you- Learn by doing. Apply emerging AI tools, agents and automation to real business problems.
- Work directly with the founder. Learn how technology choices connect to customers, revenue, costs and execution, with context, initial direction and regular feedback from Zarn.
- Variety across industries. Work across A-Scenda’s operations, u×m and client engagements. Combine recurring responsibilities with new projects rather than one narrow specialty.
- Ownership and flexibility. Propose better methods and carry approved ideas through to results. Organize your work around agreed outcomes, response windows and deadlines.
- Build an independent career. Develop practical business and technical skills, with scope to take broader responsibility and coordinate specialists as the business grows. Other clients are permitted, subject to confidentiality and conflicts.
You are a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys technical detail and can explain it clearly. You want to build an independent career, take responsibility and make things work, not just discuss them.
You might be a college graduate, a self-taught high school leaver, or an experienced developer or business professional choosing independent work.
You must have completed or left high school or college before starting. This is not a student placement or a role to combine with current school or college studies.
Useful starting strengths, not a mandatory checklist- Technology:
Strong spreadsheets; familiarity with accounts, permissions, networks, servers and the difference between cloud and local computing. - AI:
You have tried AI tools. Experience with agents, agent skills, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), workflows and processes would be advantageous. Curiosity backed by experimentation matters more than a specialist title. - Business:
An understanding of revenue, profit, margin, basic finance, budgets and cost drivers, go-to-market channels and the difference between marketing and sales.
Manage competing priorities. Keep commitments, communicate clearly and flag problems early. Learn unfamiliar tools, check facts and protect confidential information. Respond constructively to feedback. Give routine administration the same care as new technical projects.
What you will do- Run operations:
Coordinate priorities, follow-ups, records, recruitment and onboarding. Track owners, milestones and results. Keep routine commitments moving. - Support projects:
Research business questions, update approved website and marketing content, support sales follow-up, test products and organize feedback. - Analyze and report:
Check approved operational and financial data, maintain simple reports or dashboards, and highlight findings and next actions for review. - Improve systems:
