Vaco has partnered with a growing vehicle transportation technology company looking to enhance its pricing strategy and analytics capabilities. They are seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst with a strong background in automotive transportation and vehicle logistics.

Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst – Automotive Transportation

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $100,000-$125,000 annual salary

Responsibilities:

Own pricing analysis across a large network of vehicle transportation lanes, helping determine competitive customer rates while protecting profitability.
Evaluate transportation costs and market changes, including carrier pricing, fuel costs, route activity, capacity, and other factors that impact the cost of moving vehicles.
Analyze large datasets to identify pricing trends, patterns, margin opportunities, and lanes where pricing adjustments may be needed.
Develop pricing models, reporting, and dashboards that help the business make faster, data-driven pricing decisions.
Partner closely with Finance, Data Science, Operations, and other teams to improve pricing strategies and translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.

Qualifications:

5+ years of pricing, pricing analytics, or closely related analytical experience within automotive transportation, finished-vehicle logistics, or vehicle relocation.
Direct experience within the auto transportation industry and a strong understanding of the factors that influence the cost of moving vehicles from origin to destination is required; general freight experience alone will not meet the requirement.
Strong analytical background with the ability to work through large datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable pricing recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI;
Python, data science, or similar advanced analytics experience is a plus.
