Remote Catering Event Manager

Our client, a premier national catering and events company, is seeking a seasoned and highly organized Remote Catering Event Manager. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage and oversee a portfolio of catering events from your home office. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of catering events, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, seamless execution, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and collaborate closely with diverse on-site teams to deliver outstanding culinary and service experiences for events potentially serving clients in areas like Benoni, Gauteng . • Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned catering events, from initial planning and client consultation to post-event evaluation.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring their vision and expectations are met and exceeded.
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, budgets, and staffing requirements.
• Coordinate with culinary teams, service staff, and vendors to ensure flawless event execution.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with events.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct post-event debriefs with clients and internal teams to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
• Maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency across all managed events.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, catering management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex events.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide remote and on-site teams.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and standard office productivity tools.

• A strong understanding of food and beverage operations, service standards, and event logistics.
