Management Consultant - Operations Excellence

Our client, a leading management consultancy, is seeking a dedicated Management Consultant with a specialization in Operations Excellence to join their team, serving clients primarily in the Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape region. This role focuses on helping organizations streamline their operations, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance through the application of best practices and innovative solutions. You will engage in activities such as process analysis, supply chain optimization, and performance management, working closely with client teams to implement tangible improvements. This remote role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong working relationships virtually.

• Analyze client operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement strategies for supply chain optimization, lean manufacturing, and quality management.
• Design and deploy performance measurement systems and dashboards to track key operational metrics.
• Facilitate remote workshops to train client teams on new processes and methodologies.
• Provide expert advice on best practices in operational management and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
• Document findings, recommendations, and implementation plans clearly and concisely.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
• Ensure successful adoption and sustainability of implemented operational improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in management consulting or a related role focusing on operations, supply chain, or process improvement.
• Proven track record in delivering tangible improvements in operational efficiency and performance.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills, adapted for remote engagement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Visio, project management software).
• Familiarity with the industrial landscape of the Eastern Cape is a plus.
