Remote Senior Project Manager, Global Operations

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex, global projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies for international initiatives.
• Manage and motivate virtual, cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote work environment.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to global stakeholders, including senior leadership, via virtual channels.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies across different regions and time zones.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for global projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Utilize project management tools and technologies to facilitate collaboration and tracking in a remote setting.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and implement process improvements for future global projects.
• Champion best practices in remote project management and contribute to the evolution of our project delivery frameworks.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in project management, with a significant track record of managing global or international projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively, fostering collaboration across diverse cultures and time zones.
• Experience in managing projects with budgets exceeding R15 million.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote interaction.
• Strong understanding of global business operations, international regulations, and cross-cultural communication nuances.
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Zoom, Asana, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
• Proven ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks in a fully remote setting.
• Experience with change management principles in a global context is a plus.
• Familiarity with the business environment in Pretoria, Gauteng is advantageous, though not required for remote work.
