Merchandise Manager

The next Merchandise Manager at Sony Pictures will inherit a general team that respects Team Leadership and is allergic to busywork. Think of it less as a job and more as a $82,000 - $127,000 bet Sony Pictures is placing on your 7 years and your judgment.

• Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
• Keep Sony Pictures's hybrid commitments visible and on track
• Notice when a general metric is lying and dig in
• Contribute to process improvements that boost efficiency and reduce waste
• Keep showing up for the Rapid City, SD work after the launch buzz fades
• Refuse to let Change Management debt quietly accumulate on your watch
• Keep skills current through ongoing training and self-directed learning
• Map the handoffs between SD teams so nothing falls in the cracks

• Real Problem Solving chops, plus the Accountability curiosity to keep growing
• Comfort owning general decisions in a SD market
• Track record that proves you can outcome-focused ship under deadline pressure
• Critical thinking skills and sound, independent judgment
• Written communication clear enough to survive a forwarded email chain

Sony Pictures took a tired corner of the general world and rebuilt it, brick by brick, from a small office in Rapid City, SD. We give manager hires room to fail small so they can later succeed big on general work.

Your package includes $82,000 - $127,000, premium healthcare, and a generous home-office allowance for our distributed team.

This one is current, freshly dated, and very much hiring.
