Senior Industrial Engineer - Operational Excellence; Remote

You will leverage your extensive expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and other performance improvement methodologies to identify opportunities, design solutions, and lead implementation efforts.

• Lead and champion the implementation of Operational Excellence initiatives across global business units, including those relevant to Welkom, Free State, ZA .
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for continuous improvement, focusing on enhancing productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct detailed process analyses, value stream mapping, and performance benchmarking.
• Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events, problem-solving sessions, and project implementation.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational improvements.
• Facilitate change management processes to ensure successful adoption of new methodologies and practices.
• Mentor and coach operational teams and junior engineers on Operational Excellence principles and tools.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to senior leadership on progress and strategic initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in Operational Excellence.

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Industrial Engineering with a dedicated focus on Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma implementation.
• Black Belt certification in Six Sigma is required;
  Master Black Belt is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading significant transformational projects that resulted in measurable improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Expertise in a wide range of Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, crucial for remote collaboration and leadership.
• Proven ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders across different functions and levels in a virtual environment.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing complex initiatives remotely.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently with high accountability.
