Capstone’s early childhood education and family services are central to its mission, offering center-based and home-based Head Start and Early Head Start programs that support positive child, family, and community outcomes through a whole‑child approach and active engagement of parents as partners in their children’s early learning and development.
Qualifications: The required minimum qualifications for the Infant and Toddler Teacher include a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, and training or equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.

- 40‑hour week, Monday through Friday

- Professional Development
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with young children and adults
- Working knowledge of community resources, parenting issues, adult learning styles, and sensitivity to the needs of low‑income families
- Must be able to evacuate infants and toddlers from the building in a timely, efficient manner
- Must be able to assist toddlers in navigating stairs, playground equipment, and changing tables, and to quickly catch up to a fleeing toddler
- Reliable transportation, valid Vermont driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Commitment to a flexible work schedule
- Commitment to working as part of a local team and acceptance of supervision
