Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) invites applicants for the role of Family Support Specialist at our Cincinnati office. This field-based, 10‑month school-based position will be located nard Elementary or St. Bernard High School. The Specialist supports families to help children grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

- Provide support and education regarding fetal, infant and toddler development and parenting skills using research-based curricula.
- Develop and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate plans for each child and family that meet program standards and the family's needs, including assessing strengths and needs and making community referrals as necessary.
- Complete assessments and screenings to support family engagement and identify strengths/needs.
- Maintain official case notes and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child & Family Studies, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record.
- Ability to work independently, create own schedule, and utilize flexible working hours, including occasional work from home.
- Experience working with or providing services to children and families; community/in-home experience a plus.
- Willingness to engage in reflective capacity building.
- High attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
- Experience and/or training in trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity valued.
Location:
Cincinnati, OH
Salary: $36,000–$42,000 per year
Full-time, 10-month contract
