What does Brice Integrated do?Brice Companies are a family of businesses providing civil construction, marine services, equipment rentals and quarry materials. We complete projects in remote locations throughout Alaska, consistently performing exceptional work under challenging conditions.
What can you expect?As a Project Engineer I, you will work on‑site and assist the Construction Management Team with field project management in locations throughout Alaska and the Pacific Rim. Deployment to remote project sites will be approximately 6 weeks in duration for each rotation.
Responsibilities- Assist the Construction Team—including the Construction Manager, Project Manager, Quality Control, and Superintendent—with job‑related tasks.
- Help manage, execute, and document projects.
- Create and file daily project reports, including timekeeping, environmental and permit compliance, daily reports, and work‑condition documentation.
- Prepare correspondence as needed.
- Update project schedules in collaboration with the Construction Superintendent.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination among all project participants.
- Work safely and remain alert at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position may direct the work of craft and other project workers as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of job costing and accounting procedures (preferred).
- Knowledge of computer‑based construction and scheduling programs (preferred).
- Professional written and verbal communication with employees, business partners, and clients.
- Independent and cooperative work style with a friendly and positive manner.
- Problem‑solving ability, judgment, and discretion.
- Stress management and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.

- Safe driving and vehicle operation.
- Interpretation and communication of project plans and drawings.
- Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, scheduling, job‑costing, and word‑processing software (Microsoft packages preferred).
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations.
- Valid state driver’s license and qualification to operate a vehicle under Brice Integrated’s Driving Policy.
- Pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or science disciplines.
- Engineer‑in‑Training certificate.
- Alaska construction experience.
- Experience with SWPPP inspections.
- CESCL certification.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, HCSS Heavy Job, Trimble Surveying Software.
This position requires field work at remote job sites with rotations lasting approximately 4–6 weeks. Travel duration and requirements will be discussed with the supervisor. The office environment is fast‑paced and multi‑tasking.
