Job Overview

Shade Plus LLC is looking for a hands‑on, experienced Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for our shade structure installation projects. As the key on‑site leader, you’ll coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to exacting quality standards. This role requires strong field leadership, sharp coordination skills, and a commitment to safety, client satisfaction, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight & Scheduling
    • Manage daily field activities for multiple shade structure installations
    • Create and adjust daily/weekly schedules in partnership with the Project Manager
    • Monitor job progress, prevent delays, and implement solutions as needed
  • Crew & Subcontractor Management
    • Direct installation crews and subcontractors on‑site
    • Assign tasks clearly and ensure performance meets scope and standards
    • Uphold safety, quality, and productivity expectations across teams
  • Client Interaction
    • Represent our company professionally to our clients regularly
  • Quality Control & Safety
    • Perform on‑site quality inspections and ensure compliance with specs
    • Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols
    • Promote a safety‑first culture among all personnel
  • Material & Equipment Coordination
    • Oversee delivery, inspection, and usage of materials and equipment
    • Maintain jobsite inventory logs and ensure tools are properly managed
  • Communication & Reporting
    • Act as the field liaison with clients, suppliers, and project management
    • Lead daily site meetings and report progress to leadership
    • Document and communicate any change orders, delays, or issues
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records: daily logs, timesheets, safety reports
    • Ensure compliance with codes, permits, and local regulations
    • Support final inspections and project closeout documentation
Qualifications
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Experience
    • 5+ years in field supervision or construction leadership roles
    • Experience in metal fabrication, structural steel, or shade structure installation preferred
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities
    • Skilled in reading blueprints, specs, and project scopes
    • Ability to manage multiple job sites and crews simultaneously
    • Proficient in construction scheduling tools and reporting software
    • Effective communicator with solid problem‑solving abilities
    • Deep commitment to jobsite safety and project quality

Schedule

Full‑Time

Monday–Friday

Overtime may be required based on project needs

Work Location

Travel Required – This is a field‑based position requiring travel to job sites as needed.
