Operations Manager, Civil Engineering
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager. The SCM is responsible for managing the on‑site implementation of project deliverables to maintain safety, schedule, budget, design accuracy, and QA/CC control. The SCM also supports the Sales Force and Project Manager during front‑end estimating, a process that proceeds through construction. This fully remote position requires 75% travel.
The expected annual salary range is $93,750.03 – $. Salaries are based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Contract and Subcontract knowledge and experience.
- Manage project scope changes and maintain project action items.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules.
- Collaborate with design teams to create cost‑effective designs.
- Improve contractor efficiencies and manage contractor budgets.
- Manage a safe work environment, including Job Site Safety Analysis, Rigging Plans, Environmental Risk Planning, Job Audits, Confined Space Programs, and Lock & Tag procedures.
- Construction estimating and QA/QC process creation and maintenance.
- Learn new technologies related to microgrids and advanced power systems.
- Contingency planning and support for multiple projects.
- Maintain accurate as‑built documentation, punch lists, and progress reports.
- Manage subcontractor AIA forms and document control.
- Execute large‑scale construction projects across multiple trades.
- BS in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of turnkey/construction experience; OR
- AS in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering with a minimum of 12 years of turnkey/construction experience; OR
- If no degree, a minimum of 15 years of turnkey/construction experience and Journeyman certification preferred.
- Must be located in KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, or FL; no relocation offered.

- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Customer affinity and ability to build relationships.
- Field construction experience.
- Collaborative teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA.
- PMP certification and/or Professional Engineer qualification.
- Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software or Microsoft Project.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- First aid and CPR trained.
