Job DescriptionThis position involves 100% travel across the Rocky Mountain division, working on transportation, commercial buildings, wind farms, and more. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys traveling and working on various high‑profile construction material testing projects.

General ResponsibilitiesPerform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel). Communicate with project and client representatives. Transport samples to the laboratory. Prepare reports for daily transmittal. Maintain equipment and work areas. Assist with scheduling. Adhere to safety standards.
EssentialRoles And Responsibilities
- Perform testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
- Provide clear documentation of findings.
- Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission.
- Communicate information to Project Manager.
- Assist higher‑level technicians on complex tasks.
- Maintain assigned equipment and calibrations.
- Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F‑150 or equivalent.
- Follow safety rules and perform pre‑task planning. Report safety issues.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
- Experience using laptop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
- Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation.
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
- NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils) or Geotechnical categories.
- ICC certification in categories such as Reinforced Concrete, Spray‑applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Prestressed/Post‑Tensioned Concrete, Structural Steel – Bolting, Structural Steel – Welding.
- AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI).
- ASNT Level II certification in Visual, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Radiographic, Ultrasonic testing.
- Other national, regional, state, and local materials‑related certifications as deemed appropriate.
This position is categorized as a "Remote Only" role. Remote workers typically operate from home or another location.
Salary range: $19.00–$29.25 per hour, adjustable based on location and qualifications.
