Traveling Site Superintendent
We are looking for a Superintendent willing to travel to lead production on our various commercial projects. This position requires advanced construction and management skills. An ideal applicant has experience in commercial construction and demonstrated ability to complete projects ahead of time and within budget. Must be willing to travel.
Specific Responsibilities- Promote job site safety, enforce company and subcontractor safety policies, and address hazards immediately.
- Communicate with the executive team to resolve worksite issues quickly to keep progress on track and find subcontractors for trades.
- Comply with required office administration documentation: daily reports, safety checklists, purchase orders, weekly subcontractor goal setting and safety meetings, job schedule updates, pictures and videos, and subcontractor information requirements.
- Liaison with local and state building officials to ensure compliance with local practices and inspection requirements.
- Maintain and schedule all material deliveries.
- Direct all subcontractors to achieve project completion on schedule with quality workmanship conforming to original plans and specifications.
- Obtain and maintain all pertinent on‑site job records required by local and federal agencies, including OSHA accident reports, equal employment, SDS sheets, etc.
- Conduct weekly goal setting and safety meetings with all on‑site subcontractors.
- Construct scheduling for all work phases.
- Complete project take‑off estimates and be knowledgeable of all project requirements.
- Maintain a neat appearance at all times.
- Good working knowledge of construction practices, tools, terminology, and safety precautions (3‑5 years relevant supervisor experience required).
- Ability to work well and communicate efficiently with clients, subcontractors, and other team members.
- Very well organized and systematic.
- Good leadership abilities.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to understand construction documents and plans.
- Willing and able to travel to job sites; travel out of home state likely.
- Ability to perform construction tasks while on the job.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Willing to complete assessment, drug test, and background check.
$80,000 – $90,000. Benefits start after a 90‑day probationary period.
