Summary
Oversee all field activities and construction management aspects of federal, state, and local civil construction contracts. The Construction Manager manages and drives project initiatives, medium to complex field construction sites, subcontractor compliance, scheduling, crew management, cost controls, and coordination with home office, clients, and stakeholders. This role requires an independent, self‑motivated professional with experience managing large, complex construction projects and a desire to grow with each challenging project.
Salary: $115,864–$169,606 per year (tiered).

- Participate in planning and design alternatives, produce conceptual estimates, and coordinate basic design plans.
- Develop and administer project budgets, fiscal controls, contracts, and quality‑control provisions.
- Determine staffing needs and assign resources using internal and external pools.
- Perform project cost estimating, specifications, and value engineering.
- Oversee day‑to‑day management of construction projects, monitoring field personnel and subcontractors.
- Interpret construction drawings and communicate requirements to site superintendents and crews.
- Review designs and specifications, initiate revisions where necessary.
- Prepare schedules and mobilize field teams.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, state and federal policies, and regulations.
- Address technical or administrative issues to meet project objectives.
- Authorize contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and approve contractor invoices.
- Inspect, approve, and accept completed work, ensuring conformance with codes and specifications.
- Maintain safety, quality, and security processes.
- Serve as primary contact for owners and stakeholders.
- Provide knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities and operating expenses.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
- Construction Manager: Lead projects with construction scope below $10M.
- Construction Manager Sr.: Lead projects with a construction scope above $10M and provide technical support to multiple project managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (education may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis).
- Professional Engineer (PE) certificate.
- Experience managing multiple task orders and/or contracts.
- Experience estimating and executing Design/Build and Bid Build projects.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety laws and regulations (OSHA, EM 385, etc.).
- Ability to pass federal background checks for security access badges.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to use company vehicles.
- Understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities.
- Seven (7)–nine (9) years of civil construction management experience for Construction Manager; ten (10) or more years for Construction Manager Sr.
- Three (3)–five (5) years managing civil construction projects of $1M–$10M for Construction Manager; five (5) or more years managing $10M+ projects for Construction Manager Sr.
- Proficiency in HCSS, Primavera (P6), Procore, Blu Beam OST.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of construction management experience.
- Experience managing $15M+ projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

- Confidentiality and integrity.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, stooping, bending, and pushing for up to 12 hours.

- Working indoors or outdoors in confined spaces, changing temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (or as business needs dictate).
