Location & Working Hours

Maple Lodge STW – remote working available, with travel to the office/site required at least 3 days a week.

Hours:

45 hours per week with some flexibility available. No sponsorship can be offered for this role.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team, working on the £200m+ Maple Lodge STW upgrade. You will support the commercial team in delivering excellent commercial performance across this major water infrastructure project, with clear pathways for progression to Senior QS level.

Responsibilities
  • Support cost control and financial reporting, including preparing cost reports, measuring works, and assisting with monthly valuations.
  • Manage subcontract activities from enquiry through to payment, maintaining accurate records and supporting tender analysis.
  • Assist with change management by identifying, recording and valuing variations with supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to commercial reporting and maintain clear, organised records in line with governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations and planning teams to ensure accurate information gathering and successful package delivery.
Qualifications
  • Experience as an Assistant QS or QS on civil engineering, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Some experience of subcontract procurement, valuations and cost reporting.
  • Good understanding of construction contract principles and proficiency in MS Excel and commercial tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style with diverse teams.
  • Transferrable skills are welcomed; not all boxes need to be ticked.
