Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance
Location: Cumbria
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading construction and infrastructure contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a major project based in Cumbria.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile infrastructure scheme, supporting the project team in delivering strong commercial performance across live works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, valuations, forecasting and contract administration while ensuring commercial risks are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial resources to maximise project profitability and contract performance
- Produce and submit valuations, claims and commercial reporting information
- Monitor and forecast project costs and financial performance
- Assess and manage commercial and contractual risks
- Support effective contract control and commercial administration
- Maximise cash flow through accurate measurement and valuation of works
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation
- Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline
- Previous experience in a commercial role within construction or infrastructure
- Experience working for a main contractor within transportation or civil engineering projects desirable
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel - Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary of £40,000 – £45,000
- £5,000 annual car allowance
