Senior Estimator
Salary: £52,000 – £62,000 depending upon experience, plus car allowance.
Location:
Hereford area. Candidates must be within an approximate 45‑minute commute, with flexible or remote work options of two‑three days per week.
Employment type:
Full‑time, permanent, 08:30 – 17:00.
- A pivotal role within a small, supportive team.
- Ownership of the estimating function.
- Scope to be involved further in quantity surveying and commercial management.

- Assist with pre‑qualification submissions (PQQs) and appraisal of tender opportunities.
- Review tender documentation and identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Measure and price materials, labour and subcontract packages.
- Manage project costs from procurement through to final account.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Provide commercial and contractual support to project teams.
- Help ensure projects are delivered within budget and financial targets.
- Proven experience as an estimator or quantity surveyor.
- Experience across a range of construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost management and relevant legislation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent).
- Experience with in the UK construction market.
- Full UK driving licence.
