Senior International Construction Project Leader

We are Van Wijnen Engineering, a developer, engineering bureau, construction and real estate management company, working on sustainable and affordable solutions in the Netherlands. In this role you will be a senior construction engineer and project leader, responsible for coordinating a team of constructors in Belgrade and ensuring the quality, planning, and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

Bearing the end responsibility for construction projects provided to the Belgrade team.

Maintaining internal client contact with customers and project leaders.

Preparing, allocating, and explaining construction assignments to the Belgrade team.

Monitoring planning, progress, and capacity of the projects.

Checking and evaluating hand‑in calculations, models and documents for quality.

Identifying risks, deviations and optimisation opportunities in design and execution.

Driving the development and safeguarding of processes related to international collaboration.

Onboarding new employees in Belgrade and accompanying them during the first year; travelling to Serbia for face‑to‑face discussions and occasional follow‑ups.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master’s degree in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering, specializing in construction.

5 to 10 years of professional experience in construction engineering (experience in residential or commercial construction is an advantage).

Desire to broaden the role towards project leadership and international cooperation.

Fluency in Dutch and English.

Affinity for concrete construction and experience in designing and detailing concrete main and detail structures.
