Location:
A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon, Gloucestershire – travel to the office with some remote working
Hours:
Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per year + private healthcare + £5,900 annual car allowance + excellent benefits
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing costs, maximising value, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the contract. Your day to day will include:
Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract control
Managing change control with Subcontractors inline with NEC4 procedures.
Minimising risk of disallowed costs from the Client.
Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks whilst implementing Kier's risk management policies
Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement, and valuation of work, including invoicing and supplier payments
Valuing work executed by subcontractors and certifying interim and final payments
What are we looking for?
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role would suit someone who has:
Experience working in a similar role within the highways sector
A relevant qualification, such as a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships
Confidence using MS Office, particularly Excel, and other IT systems
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with flexibility to travel when required
