Civil Construction Estimator

Position: Civil Construction Estimator - Hybrid Role
Join Hazelwood in a flexible hybrid position as a Civil Construction Estimator based in Nanaimo or Victoria, BC. Collaborate with project teams while preparing comprehensive cost estimates.

This full-time role requires a Civil Engineering degree or Diploma with 3-5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction. You will use estimating software, review construction documents, and build relationships with subcontractors to support project delivery and accuracy. Your expertise in road construction, bridges, and utilities will make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project specifications

• Utilize Explorer/Heavy Bid software for estimate development

• Review tender documents and site conditions thoroughly

• Collaborate with GM and estimators on project reviews

• Actively seek public/private bid opportunities

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology Diploma

• 3-5+ years estimating experience in civil construction

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and estimating software

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle

• Gold Seal Certification preferred
