The Opportunity:

We're supporting a major UK infrastructure programme at the heart of the energy transition, delivering large-scale electricity transmission upgrades across England and Wales. This is a key Quantity Surveyor position within a strategic infrastructure team, where you will take ownership of significant work packages across complex, high-value construction projects. You will act as the commercial lead for your package, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

Owning the commercial and contractual management of major construction packages Managing costs, forecasts, and spend against budget Leading on NEC4 contract administration (Options A, C, and

E) Handling variations, compensation events, and payment processes Providing commercial challenge and ensuring projects remain financially controlled Supporting procurement activity and advising on contract strategy Working closely with project delivery teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, delays, and cost overruns

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction projects Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (Options A, C and

E) Experience owning or leading packages of work on large-scale projects Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision Strong commercial acumen - able to challenge costs and manage risk effectively

Experience with in regulated environments (utilities, infrastructure, energy, rail, etc.) is highly desirable Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) Working Arrangements:
