Position: Section Engineer - Pre Construction Enabling works - Sizewell C based

About The Role

Be part of the "once in a generation" project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will create a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable low‑carbon electricity.

What you’ll be doing
  • Design, plan, procure and execute early civil works scope, including Earthworks trials phase monitoring for soil behaviour.
  • Conduct on‑site testing, assess various earthworks back filling operations, and manage placing and compaction methods.
  • Maintain site records and daily diary.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential
  • Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure they are followed.
  • Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodology.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Availability for 42 hours per week.
Desirable
  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with the level of responsibility.
  • People‑management experience and relationship‑management skills.
  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control.
Qualifications & Experience
  • HNC/HND/Degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant site experience within the construction industry.
  • CSCS card.
