Building Inspector

A national RBCA are currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to operate in the vicinity of Huntingdon. The home-based autonomous role will suit a Class 2A or 2B RBI looking to specialise in residential developments throughout the construction process. Building Inspector responsibilities Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate Operate in accordance with QMS procedures Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors Attend client meetings as required Building Inspector requirements Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process) Construction-based experience
