Commercial building surveyor – Suffolk / Cambridgeshire
Allcott Commercial is an award‑winning commercial building consultancy working with clients across England and Wales. We are looking for experienced chartered building surveyors at Senior or Associate level who can take the next step in their career with an independent firm of property professionals.
OpportunityPosition based in or near Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich. Survey assignments will be tailored to the candidate’s location.
RoleProvide high‑quality commercial surveying services to clients in the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire regions.
Responsibilities include:
- Commercial building surveys
- Dilapidations
- Planned preventive maintenance
- Schedules of condition
- Contract administration
- Acquisition surveys and technical due diligence
Work is conducted within a multi‑disciplined team of building surveyors and structural engineers, offering opportunities to learn new skills, participate in general practice surveying, expert witness work, structural engineering and residential work.
PersonYou will be a chartered professional under RICS or CIOB, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to carry out commercial survey work independently to a high standard.
Experience- Broad range of commercial surveying work, e.g. dilapidations, schedules of condition, contract administration, acquisition surveys, technical due diligence
- Preparing and presenting technically robust reports
- Providing clear, concise, justified conclusions
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Liaising with clients, both verbally and in written correspondence
- Chartered with RICS or CIOB
- Full UK driving licence
- £55,000–£75,000, depending on experience
