Landing Facility Lead

Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable low‑carbon electricity.

The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies:
Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.

The Senior Project Manager for the Beach Landing Facility (BLF) will lead the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of all construction activities associated with the BLF as part of the Enabling and Earthworks programme for the Sizewell C project. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end project management, including planning, design coordination, construction management, stakeholder engagement, risk control, commercial oversight, and assurance of compliance with nuclear, environmental and marine regulations.

Essential

• Extensive project management experience on major civil engineering, marine, coastal or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a high‑risk, regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, marine construction and heavy infrastructure logistics.
• Demonstrated experience in contract management (NEC3/4 preferred).
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across client, contractor, regulatory and local authority bodies.
• Excellent planning, communication, and leadership capabilities.

Desirable

• Experience working on nuclear new‑build or high‑hazard environments.
• Background in coastal engineering, port operations, jetty/wharf construction or marine logistics.
• Professional membership (MAPM, ICE, RICS or similar).
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
