Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of major power cabling projects from inception through to successful completion.
- Managing multidisciplinary project teams and creating an environment where individuals can thrive and perform at their best.
- Maintaining a relentless focus on health, safety and environmental standards, driving a culture of Zero Harm across all project activities.
- Developing and managing project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery strategies.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, supply chain partners and internal teams.
- Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions to manage risks, issues and opportunities.
- Overseeing commercial, procurement, design, construction and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring robust project governance, reporting and project controls are maintained.
- Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure contractual and delivery objectives are achieved.
- Leading risk management processes and maintaining ownership of project risk and opportunity registers.
- Supporting the development, mentoring and progression of project teams.
We're keen to hear from experienced project professionals who have a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects within the power sector, particularly on cabling schemes.
You'll ideally have:
- Project management experience within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector.
- Strong experience delivering power cabling projects, including underground cable installation and associated infrastructure.
- Demonstrable experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and design through to commissioning and handover.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes, risks and resources.
- A sound understanding of construction contracts and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and industry health & safety requirements.
- Relevant project management qualifications and/or engineering background (desirable).
