Position: Quantity Surveyor (FM & Lifecycle)
Home Based with UK Travel | Competitive Salary + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist FM and Capital Works team supporting a large and complex national property portfolio.

Working closely with the Principal Surveyor and wider Capital Works, Commercial and Mobilisation teams, you will play a key role in the delivery of lifecycle replacement programmes, capital projects, dilapidations and contract transition activities. This is a commercially focused position where you will be responsible for cost modelling, forecasting, tender documentation, lifecycle planning and capital expenditure management across a diverse estate.

You will prepare cost plans, Bills of Quantities, pre-tender estimates and pricing schedules, whilst monitoring project expenditure, variations and commercial risk. The role also involves supporting procurement activities, advising on contractual matters and contributing towards the successful delivery of FM and capital works programmes.

About You

We are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with experience gained within Facilities Management, Construction, Building Services, Property or Asset Management environments.

You will have a strong understanding of lifecycle costing, capital works and maintenance programmes, together with experience producing tender documentation and managing project costs through the full project lifecycle. Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts, strong analytical skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders are essential.

Requirements

* Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience

* RICS, CIOB, CIPS or similar accreditation, or working towards

* Experience using SPONS and industry estimating tools

* Strong understanding of building fabric, M&E services and construction processes

* Knowledge of CDM regulations

* Full UK driving licence

Experience with in Facilities Management, lifecycle planning, mobilisation projects or highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
