Planning & Scheduling Lead III

Role Overview

The role supports a large-scale, schedule-driven project currently. The successful candidate will act as a Site-Based Execution Planner
, serving as the link between construction execution and project controls/planning.

• Liaise with construction teams to monitor and assess field execution progress.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and execution barriers, and facilitate their resolution.
• Track progress against the Primavera P6 schedule.
• Monitor completion of FIWPs (Field Installation Work Packages).
• Generate progress reports and updates for the Project Management Team.
• Facilitate and coordinate meetings and presentations.
• Work closely with contractors to understand schedule delays and remove constraints.
• Coordinate with the Calgary-based home office Planner/Scheduler.
• Support change management activities, including contractor-generated project change requests.
• Participate in subsystem walkdowns, commissioning activities, and construction readiness reviews.

The manager emphasized that this role is a hybrid between construction management/supervision and planning & scheduling. Candidates must be comfortable both in the field and on the project controls side.

• Site construction execution experience, within Oil & Gas.
• Execution management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with commissioning, subsystem walkdowns, and constraint management.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6
• Solid understanding of project scheduling and project controls
