Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures, for projects in and around Centurion. You will advise on procurement strategy, manage contracts, and ensure all projects are completed within financial objectives. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of projects and requires a professional who can effectively balance cost control with project quality and scope.

Working closely with project managers and clients, you will play a key role in ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

• Prepare bills of quantities, tender analysis, and cost reports.
• Manage and control project costs throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Advise on contract variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations for potential projects.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial regulations.

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the commercial construction sector.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
