About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Site Engineer to join their team in Centurion . This hybrid role combines essential on-site supervision with remote administrative and planning tasks, offering a balanced approach to project execution. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and progress of construction works, coordinating site activities, and collaborating with project managers and contractors to achieve project objectives.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys a mix of hands‑on site work and flexible remote planning, contributing to the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects within the Gauteng region. You will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency on site.
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and resource management.
- Prepare daily site reports, including progress, issues, and safety compliance.
- Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on site.
- Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment utilization, and site safety protocols.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction role.
- Solid understanding of construction methods , materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both on‑site and remotely.
