Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Construction Estimator to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects, working entirely from a remote location. This pivotal role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documents to calculate the precise cost of materials, labor, and equipment required for successful project bids.
Your analytical skills and thorough understanding of construction costs will be vital in securing competitive bids and ensuring project profitability, contributing to our client's continued success in the construction industry.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits (virtual or documented).
- Analyze project requirements, identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment necessary for project completion.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals and tender submissions.
- Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and historical project data for future reference.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Timberline).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market costs.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
