Give Me Sport  is one of the UK’s leading sports media brands, delivering breaking news, analysis, interviews, and features across football, basketball, combat sports, and more.

As part of the Valnet Publishing Group, Give Me Sport  operates at a rapid pace and is seeking experienced and passionate England Football Writers who can craft original, insightful, and timely content focused on the Premier League, England national team, and wider UK football landscape.

• Contribute a minimum of 4 feature articles per week, including opinion pieces, tactical breakdowns, transfer analysis, and trend features.
• Cover major stories and developments across English football, with a focus on the Premier League, Championship, FA Cup, and England national team.
• Pitch and produce engaging, original stories that resonate with football fans in the UK and beyond.
• Work under tight deadlines and submit assignments on time.
• Collaborate with editors and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Follow Give Me Sport ’s editorial style guide and uphold its journalistic standards.

• Educational background in journalism, media, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience covering football, preferably with a focus on English clubs or competitions.
• Strong understanding of Premier League football, player narratives, tactics, transfers, and fan culture.
• Ability to write fast, accurate, and opinionated content with a distinctive voice.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and traffic-focused content strategy.
• Experience with a custom CMS is an asset.
• Passion for football and deep knowledge of the sport’s landscape in England.
