Fully Remote Sr Vfx Artist

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience

Groove Science Studios, Inc., the creators of Soundscape — a groundbreaking immersive music platform built in Unreal Engine 5 — is looking for a highly experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our creative and technical team. You’ll play a critical role in defining the visual fidelity and impact of real‑time effects for interactive music environments, festival simulations, and metaverse content. • Design and implement high‑quality real‑time VFX using Niagara in Unreal Engine 5
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to ensure consistent and performant visuals
• Prototype, iterate, and polish effects that enhance the atmosphere and storytelling of Soundscape environments
• Optimize effects for performance across platforms (PC, VR, etc.)
• Maintain and improve internal FX libraries, toolsets, and pipelines
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools in real‑time visual effects

• 10+ years of experience creating real‑time VFX for games, immersive media, or related industries
• Expert‑level proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and Niagara
• Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating real‑time VFX in shipped projects or live experiences
• Solid understanding of shaders, lighting, particle behavior, and performance optimization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self‑motivated with a passion for cutting‑edge visual storytelling
