We are seeking a scientific content editor with a strong background in journal editing to oversee the peer review and editorial processes. This is a full-time editorial position based in Singapore.
Responsibilities- Evaluate submissions and oversee the peer review and editorial process.
- Supervise the scientific content and quality of the journal.
- Recruit high-quality research, commission, and manage a series of high-quality reviews and editorial content.
- Build relationships with researchers and represent the journal at scientific conferences and institutional visits.
- Contribute to the broader programs of the journal and help shape the future of scientific communication.
- A PhD in molecular biology, biomedicine, life sciences, or related fields.
- Ability to think critically about a wide range of scientific issues.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Interest in engaging with the scientific community.
- Talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them clearly.
- Ability to work well in different team environments.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Interest in or experience with STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) academic publishing.
- We expect at least two years of editing experience for the Scientific Editor position, while the Associate Scientific Editor position does not require any prior editing experience.
