Pro Sidian seeks a Technical Writer/Editor to provide professional and administrative support for procurement and management services in the Environmental Management Industry Sector, supporting Department of Energy (DOE) clients.
Job OverviewProvide services and support as a Technical Writer/Editor in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Program / Project Management Solutions for DOE-PASS. This contract contingent or W‑2 position may convert to full‑time.
Responsibilities- Translate complex technical data into clear, concise information for various audiences.
- Prepare proposals by evaluating, editing, formatting content to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to guidelines.
- Compile, edit, format technical documentation, reports, and proposals meeting established standards.
- Review written materials for grammar, consistency, and technical accuracy, revising as needed.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and teams to gather information and clarify technical content.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in technical writing or editing, preferably in engineering, IT, or government.
- Experience assisting with or writing proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, communications, English, or related field.
- Simplify and communicate complex technical information clearly for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and grammar skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe.
- Problem‑solving and critical thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
- Primarily office‑based, with potential remote work depending on policies.
- Fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Handle multiple assignments simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
- Gain expertise in technical, business, and proposal‑based writing.
