At Rush Street Interactive (RSI), we create dynamic live content streamed directly to social platforms. We’re seeking a flexible Freelance Streaming Technician to support the setup, operation, and monitoring of RSI’s live streaming productions. This role is ideal for someone with a background in live streaming, content creation, or TV/radio operations who thrives in fast‑paced, live environments. Strong technical problem‑solving skills and availability during nights and weekends are essential.

Freelance, event‑based scheduling with variability week to week.

What You’ll Do:

Live Broadcast Operations

• Operate and monitor live‑streamed productions across digital and OTT platforms.
• Run and troubleshoot livestream environments using OBS, vMixor similar platforms.
• Manage live switching, audio levels, graphics cues, and real‑time stream monitoring.
• Ensure stable transmission, proper capture, and clean broadcast delivery during all live events.

Technical Setup & Equipment Management

• Monitor camera feeds, audio sources, and network conditions during production.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with producers and directors to implement creative elements in live programming.

Communication & Coordination

• Work closely with production teams to meet show schedules, call times, and operational requirements.
• Communicate technical status and issues clearly to supervisors and production staff.
• Maintain documentation of equipment configurations, settings, and event notes.

What You’ll Bring :

• Proven experience in livestream video/audio production or broadcast operations.
• Proficiency with OBS, vMix or comparable live streaming software.
• Strong familiarity with video and audio equipment including cameras, microphones, mixers, and capture devices.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Audition, and Photoshop.
• Ability to troubleshoot streaming, signal, and equipment issues under pressure.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and event‑driven schedules.
• Understanding of streaming platforms (You Tube Live, Twitch, Vimeo, and custom RTMP destinations), preferred.
• Familiarity with video encoding formats, bitrates, and network streaming protocols, preferred.
• General troubleshooting skills for network and bandwidth issues, preferred.

The pay range reflects potential variations in experience, skills, and location. The pay range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base pay, benefits, and/or bonuses. For candidates outside the US (Canada, Europe, Latin America), we take a locally informed approach to compensation and will share specific ranges based on your country of residence.
