We are seeking a Podcaster who can lead this initiative from concept to execution, delivering compelling content that resonates with our audience and reflects our brand’s mission and values.

Reports To: Marketing and Communications Lead

Role Overview

The Podcaster will be responsible for managing the podcast’s entire lifecycle—from conceptualizing topics and identifying guests to recording, editing, and deploying episodes. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and self-motivated professional to join our team and create impactful content that highlights leadership and innovation across our focus sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development and Guest Coordination:

Identify and secure high-profile guests at the leadership and impact level across industries such as healthcare, non-profits, government, clean tech, and more.
Collaborate with the team to develop thought-provoking topics aligned with destination one’s mission and audience interests.
Organize and schedule meetings with guests, ensuring seamless coordination for recording sessions.

Podcast Production:

Record and produce high-quality audio and/or video podcast episodes using professional-grade tools.
Conduct engaging interviews that bring out insightful discussions and thought leadership.
Oversee editing and post-production, ensuring episodes meet brand and quality standards.

Deployment and Distribution:

Publish episodes on relevant platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts, You Tube, and others).
Write compelling show notes, summaries, and promotional content for each episode.
Work with the marketing team to create social media assets and campaigns to maximize reach and engagement.

Audience Engagement and Growth:

Monitor podcast analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement strategies to grow listenership and engage with the audience.
Stay updated on podcasting trends and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Collaborate closely with destination one’s marketing and leadership teams to ensure the podcast aligns with the company’s goals and values.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions for other creative projects and initiatives as needed.

Technical Setup and Maintenance:

Ensure all recording equipment is properly set up and maintained, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise during recording sessions.

Script writing and Episode Planning:

Develop scripts and episode outlines to ensure content is coherent, engaging, and aligns with the podcast's objectives.

Quality Assurance:

Review final podcast episodes to ensure high-quality production standards are met before publication.

Requirements

Proven experience in podcast production, hosting, or a related field.
Strong interviewing skills and the ability to engage guests in meaningful conversations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Technical proficiency with audio and video recording and editing software.
Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms and audience growth strategies.
Self-motivated and capable of managing projects independently in a remote environment.
Passion for storytelling and a deep interest in high-impact industries such as healthcare, non-profits, and clean technology.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with live streaming platforms and conducting live interviews is advantageous.
Ability to interpret podcast analytics to inform content strategy and improve audience engagement.
Capacity to adapt to changing trends in podcasting and implement innovative approaches to content creation.
