Music Composer – Animated Series (Full-Time Contract, Remote)

This role focuses on creating original music for an animated series in the style of “Masha and the Bear.” The composer will develop engaging and emotionally resonant scores that align with the narrative, enhance character moments, and bring the animation to life for a children’s audience. The position is full-time on contract with remote flexibility, requiring close collaboration with a Moscow-based creative team.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in composing for animation, particularly children’s entertainment, and a proven ability to craft music that elevates storytelling.

• Compose original music tailored for an animated series targeted at children.
• Collaborate closely with the production team and creative leads to align musical direction with storylines and character development.
• Develop themes, motifs, and background scores that support both comedic and emotional moments.
• Deliver high-quality compositions within agreed timelines and project milestones.
• Adapt and refine music based on feedback from directors and producers.
• Prepare final mixes and stems optimized for integration into the animation workflow.

• Proven track record of composing music for animated films, series, or children’s entertainment.
• Strong ability to compose in playful, engaging, and emotionally expressive styles.
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and orchestration tools.
• Experience integrating music into visual media, with an understanding of pacing and synchronization.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration with international teams.
• Full-time availability for the duration of the contract.
• Prior experience working with Russian or international animation studios is a plus.
