Graphic Designer, Digital Media / Production
This role is within the Creative Services team, which is part of the Field and Marketing Communications department. The Creative Services team consists of a group of designers and media specialists who support the various areas of Penn Mutual's many field and home office communications and marketing initiatives. The Senior Technical Graphic Designer reports to the Senior Creative Services Manager, and collaborates with the other Senior Graphic Designers.
This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Penn Mutual brand that follows proper alignment with brand guidelines while consistently producing high quality work. This includes having a working knowledge and understanding of the company, corporate brand, product and service distribution, and company sponsor ships. The skill set of this role relies on advanced knowledge of digital capabilities within video editing and production, web and email design, podcast production, and experience in UI/UX design solutions.
Functions
- Designs digital solutions to solve user needs and business challenges, such as web properties, email templates, animated and live action video, podcast recording and audio editing.
- Designs and manages projects from creation of initial concepts through design/layout to release of production-ready files.
- Works closely with project owners, stakeholders, and other Senior Graphic Designers to prioritize day-to-day work and set up check points to ensure high quality control and project delivery in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with the Field and Marketing Communications team, other areas of the business, contractors/free lancers, and outside agency partners as needed on projects, ideas, and design consultations.
- Focuses on delivering content that sets the appropriate tone which may vary based off the different audiences of Penn Mutual, mainly financial professionals and policyholders.
- Involved in all elements of content creation, from brainstorming to final production and deployment.
- Manage and update projects through a project management system (Asana) with the assistance of a project manager.
- Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
- Remains current in profession and industry trends
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Has strong imagination and demonstrates high creativity
- Demonstrates strong design/layout/production skills
- Must be highly proficient in indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro, Figma, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar email tool), Crafter (or other web development tool), and Riverside (or other Podcast recording software).
- Must have advanced knowledge of graphic design tools including web, workflow, and content management applications
- Extremely detail oriented & highly organized
- Able to set priorities and works well under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Works collaboratively with the entire Field and Marketing Communications team and with various stakeholders across the organization
- Demonstrates keen interest in new techniques, design trends or software and shares this back with the Creative Services team
- Bachelor's Degree graphic design or related field Required
- 10 Years experience in the graphic design field Required
- Experience with digital design properties (web and email) and UI/UX design solutions, audio/video recording, editing and post-producing
- Experience in podcast production
- Experience in design for a financial service company and can show examples within their portfolio

Base Salary Range - $88,000 - $126,000
