Art Director - Auto or Electric Vehicle Industries/ Car Industry is must - Remote
Client:
Proterra, CA - remote ok. Long-term contract.
As a member of the Customer Experience practice, you will be working with our global team of UX and UI experts in creating solutions for a variety of mobile apps, web applications, enterprise portals utilizing responsive, native and hybrid techniques for global clients in Manufacturing, Energy, Life Sciences and Hi-Tech industry verticals. Ideal candidates will have at least 7-10 years experience working in a design capacity at an agency or digital technology consultancy, with an emphasis on branded interaction design.
Successful candidates should share the philosophy that good design is an integral component of creating good user experiences.
- Understanding our clients’ strategic objectives and helping connect to their audiences with relevant, engaging creative and digital experiences.
- Collaborating with account teams to develop great creative interactive work that supports the strategic vision and tenacious execution that we deliver to our clients.
- Working with customer stakeholders including Branding, Marketing, Product Owners and IT to concept and develop a consistent, compelling look and feel.
- Leading a design team in planning, running and delivering the scoped design deliverables.
- Maximizing results within established budgets and time frames.
- Presenting and communicating bold, creative solutions with clarity to effectively selling them to internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the design industry.
- Extensive knowledge of digital/online best practices in brand design, graphic design and interactive design.
- Must have a portfolio that demonstrates strong examples of creating compelling, modern UI solutions for applications and digital solutions.
- Creative concepting, ideation and visualization.
- Experience in creating mood boards, concept boards and design styles.
- Deep experience in color theory, iconography, typography.
- Experience working with customer stakeholders to define look and feel based on existing brand guidelines or existing brand styles.
- Understanding of User Experience process, basic methodologies and processes.
- Proven proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Solid track‑record of selling creative work to senior, management‑level clients.
- Some experience managing and mentoring staff will also be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; articulate and able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and external audiences.
- Ability to develop creative work with evolving requirements in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- You have experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience in Automotive or Electric Vehicle industries.
